Georgia To Star in New Sitcom

BBC Three has ordered a six-part sitcom about a reluctant handyman, written by stand-up comedian Adrian Poynton.

Will MellorIn White Van Man, Two Pints Of Lager star Will Mellor will play Ollie, an aspiring restaurateur whose dreams are dashed when his father suffers a heart attack and he has to take over the family painting and decorating business. Clive Mantle will play the father and Georgia will play Emma.

The series profiles an underdog trying to scratch a living for his father while hurdling an onslaught of chaotic situations, which tempt him to flee in his van. That is, if it wasn’t for Emma (Georgia Moffett, Doctor Who), a severe crush from catering college, holding him back and the least helpful helper known to man….

The Doctor Who DVD Files The Doctor Who DVD Files are part of a collection that builds into a full Doctor Who DVD encyclopaedia and is released fortnightly. The magazine partwork is priced at £6.99 (GBP) each are packaged with a DVD with at least two Doctor Who episodes.

This issue (24) of the magazine takes an in-depth look at The Poison Sky and The Doctor's Daughter, with these two episodes included on the free DVD. The issue also takes a look at the departure of companion Leela, who travelled with The Fourth Doctor for two years, and takes a look at U.N.I.T's Valiant ship, which was home to The Master for his reigning year. The issue also looks at two of The Doctor's oldest foes - the Sontarans and the Sea Devils, both of which first appeared with Jon Pertwee. The issue also takes a look at Martha and focuses on The Doctor's Daughter Jenny, who of course, was played in the story by Georgia Moffett (the real life daughter of Fifth Doctor Peter Davison).

The Cast of MerlinAn interview with Bradley James (Arthur) in which he talks about Episode 10 (Sweet Dreams) and his romance with Lady Vivian (Georgia Moffett). The interview was with What's On TV and is in the Interviews Section.

In episode 10 of Series 2, entitled "Sweet Dreams", Georgia plays Lady Vivian, daughter of King Olaf, with whom Arthur falls madly in love, after being enchanted by a rival King's Jester. There's more details in the Merlin Section and on the News Page.

Two photos from the Merlin set are now posted in the Merlin Section and also in the new Merlin Gallery, along with some fan videos of Georgia on set.

In the Merlin Gallery are six new high quality production stills of Georgia as Lady Vivian, on the set of Merlin.

The episode premieres on Saturday 28th November 2009 on BBC ONE at 18:05 and is repeated on BBC THREE, Sunday 29th November 2009 at 20:00 and Friday 4th December 2009 at 20:00.

The series began it's six episode run on Saturday 21st November 2009 on the BBC Red Button Service and was streamed on the BBC Dreamland Website. The full 45 minute adventure was aired on BBC TWO on Saturday 5th December at 10.00 am and on the BBC HD channel at 17:55 the same day. More information is in the Dreamland Pages.

The Interviews Section has an interview with Phil Ford, the writer of Dreamland, in which he talks about Dreamland, Jenny and David Tennant!

All six Dreamland Episodes are on the website in the Dreamland Video Section and there are reviews in the Dreamland Reviews Section.

A recent addition is a short video in the Dreamland Video (Page 2) Section where writer Phil Ford speaks briefly about whatever might have happened to Cassie and Jimmy!

Released in the UK on 1st February and in North America on 4th May, Dreamland finds it's way onto DVD, accompanied by the three part documentary Doctor Who Greatest Moments. The DVD is availlable in the Shop.

City of Spires

Doctor Who : City of Spires, the Sixth Doctor audio adventure from Big Finish has released some details about the 2CD set. The CD story goes on sale on 30th April 2010 and stars Colin Baker as The Doctor, Frazer Hines as Jaime and Georgia Moffett as Alice.

New DW Audiobook

A new Doctor Who audiobook was released by BBC Audio on Wednesday 3rd March 2010. Entitled "Doctor Who: Autonomy", it is a 10th Doctor Adventure adapted from the book by Daniel Blythe and is narrated by Georgia.

An older audiobook - Red Dawn - is being offered for purchase and download from Big Finish.

About Georgia Moffett

Georgia MoffettBorn to actors Peter Davison and Sandra Dickinson at just four minutes after midnight on Christmas Day 1984. Georgia attended St Edwards School in Oxford, before pursuing a career in the entertainment industry..

She has performed alongside her father in Red Dawn (as Tanya Webster), a Big Finish Doctor Who and has had roles in many other television dramas, including Peak Practice, Like Father Like Son and The Bill. She took on a recurring role in the ITV drama "Where the Heart is" as Alice Harding and appeared alongside her father in the BBC sitcom, Fear, Stress & Anger. She has starred in Bonkers and in April 2008, she appeared as Officer Penny Bishop in the BBC sitcom My Family.

In "The Doctor's Daughter", Georgia played Jenny, a person created from the Doctor's own DNA on the planet Messaline - in the far future.

Georgia Moffett as Kylie RomanGeorgia  appeared as "Kylie Roman" in  [spooks] Code 9 and as Lady Frances Derwent in an Agatha Christie "Miss Marple" story called "Why Didn't They Ask Evans?".
